Porsche 914/ 6 GT EvocationOriginally supplied to a Porsche dealership in the USA in December 1974, this 914 was sourced from an architect in Oregon and imported to the UK in 2008. In 2020 it was acquired by a dedicated Porsche collector, who commissioned a full engine strip and rebuild, along with the gearbox and all ancillaries. The car also received a full repaint and meticulous reassembly. If you haven’t driven a 914, this one will convert you. Its low weight delivers precise, confidence-inspiring handling and genuinely surprising performance.The air-cooled soundtrack is superb—made even better with the removable Targa roof. A beautifully sorted example, accompanied by a comprehensive history file documenting recent restoration work, plus US receipts dating back to 1991 and photos from its life both in America and during its UK rebuild. Painted in period Laguna Blue with a black leather interior. A considerable amount of work was done so that the car could take a 5 speed 915 gearbox, rather than a 901. A much more capable gearbox to pair with the more powerful engine. This is not a straight forward replacement, requiring different mounting points. It also has a 916-style shifter & oil cooler. The 5-gauge dashboard layout is also a unique modification, replacing the usual 3 gauges with those from the 911. The power comes from a stunning 2. 5L twin-plug flat-six (producing 229 bhp) on modern Motec management.
