Seller's comments about 1983' Porsche 924

The 924, available from model year 1976, was developed by Porsche on behalf of Volkswagen as the successor to the 914 and was eventually produced completely independently. The new base model was built by Audi at Neckarsulm. In the styling configuration phase of the 924, good aerodynamics were given a leading role. This was contributed to mainly by the flat bonnet and the retractable headlights. From model year 1983, a black rear spoiler determined a further improvement in the Cx coefficient. Regarding the 924’s traction, Porsche followed completely new paths: for the first time a water-cooled front-mounted engine was used, whose cylinders were also arranged in line. The powerful 125 PS engine was sourced from the Audi 100 and suitably modified by Porsche. The powertrain followed the Transaxle principle.
