Seller's comments about 1964' Puch Steyr
Austria has a long tradition in automobile manufacturing. One company is Steyr Puch AG, which was able to gain an excellent reputation in civil vehicle construction, especially thanks to the Steyr Puch 500 and its derivatives, which were built on the basis of the Fiat 500. Exactly 8,566 examples of the Combi version, the 700C, were produced between 1960 and 1968, 1,033 of which were in 1964. The 700C was particularly popular with the post office, the police and the traffic police. Since it was used as a work tool and was not spared, there are probably only a few hundred left in existence.
This copy was delivered to the Salzburg branch of Herta Apotheker AG in 1964 and, after a detour via Lower Austria, is now in the fifth owner in Vorarlberg. When it was purchased in 2016, the last owner decided to completely restore the 700C with Steyr Puch specialist Joe Müller. The vehicle was completely dismantled, the body was rebuilt, the engine was optimized in the house style and the interior was covered with leather. Many photos bear witness to this.
The vehicle has §57a/Pickerl until 06/25 and is ready for immediate use.
