Ranmore Fine Motor Cars is pleased to offer on behalf of the owner, a small but very collectable selection of classic cars, incorporating 2 early Vauxhalls, Ford Zephyr, Chyrsler Airflow and a Railton Cobham.
The 1943 Railton Cobham 8 cylinder was one of the only six built that year, and was ordered by the Metropolitan Police Flying Squad as Q cars they needed faster cars than the villains had !
The powerful Hudson straight eight literally lives up to all expectations and will keep up with todays traffic.
An older restoration which is still looking goo. The dark brown leather interior is nicely patinated, whilst both headlining and carpets are in lovely condition.
It is believed that the car was used by the Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Phillip Wookott-Game.... its believed that the radiator still retains his own personal Mascot.
Under the fabric roof covering is wire mesh this was necessary for early radio communication. Once again there is a history file and pleasingly the original Buff logbook.
It would be a pleasure to answer any questions you might have. All the cars are available to view at the owner's garage West Sussex.
Please call me directly on the details below to arrange a viewing.
