1976' Reliant Scimitar

Here is a Reliant Scimitar GTE. I looked an many cars before buying this one and mechanically it has had loads of work done including new brakes and springs. The bill for parts alone has been over £2000 in the last 3 years. I have just been on a 500 mile (over 2 days) journey in the car and it worked brilliantly. I was able to average over 70 MPH for long periods. The body in in good condition but the some of the GRP has flaked on the bonnet and there is some micro-blistering.

My plan was to repaint the car at some point as due to the micro blistering and to repair the bonnet so was not too concerned in the short term.. The interior is generally in good condition all the instrumentation with the exception of the clock. The drivers electric window works easily down but up is temperamental, the passenger is slow. Both I think mainly through lack if use. Both windows would need lubrication etc. .

The car has a stainless steel exhaust, a stainless steel petrol tank and it does not overheat.

I am selling the car as I have decided to buy a fully restored scimitar instead. The car is MOT and Tax exempt and could be used every day.

There is a large folder of History including lots of receipts and old MOTs.
