Seller's comments about 1935' Riley 9

1935 Riley 9 Van
Reg. no. WN 7872
Chassis no. 6027375
Engine no. 55850
This is the second Riley 9 from the John Cow collection. This 9 has clearly had a broken crankshaft in recent times, because a full engine rebuild is in the process of being carried out. There is a brand new crankshaft in a box from the Riley Register, the block is fully dismantled, and appears to be ready for assembly (unconfirmed), the head appears restored and ready for fitting, and most parts look to be present to assist with the re-assembly. This pretty van body is clearly old, possibly even pre-war, and very much looks the part in situ. It would make a great support vehicle at the Goodwood Revival or an advertising vehicle for a small business. It is offered with a V5c.

This and 60 other classic cars will be sold at auction, on March 4th at Allington, Chippenham, Wiltshire SN14 6LJ
