Riley 9 Lynx Cabriolet 1933
The Riley 9 Lynx presented here is a four -seater, second -door open sports model, which was produced exclusively in 1933 for about a year.
For sale is a particularly elegant and rare British pre -war roadster - the Riley 9 Lynx Cabriolet, built in 1933, in a very good general condition with valid classic approval in Austria.
This model embodies British roadster charm of the 1930s and is one of the most progressive vehicles in its class. The Riley 9 was the most successful model of the brand and enjoyed high reputation among connoisseurs - both in everyday traffic and motorsport. The version "Lynx" combined sporty mileage with a four-seater convertible body and a particularly elegant lines.
It was equipped with a powerful engine that corresponded to the same specifications as with the Riley sports models Sprite and Brooklands. This included sports camshafts, intake and exhaust manifolds in sports specification as well as a manual four-speed gear with gear lever in the middle of the car.
Model history - Riley 9 Lynx (1933)
The Riley 9 was produced from the end of the 1920s and was very popular thanks to its light weight, the powerful 1.1-liter four-cylinder series engine with top camshaft and its agile driving behavior. The Lynx version was offered from 1932 and had an attractive, open body with four full-fledged seats, two doors, a fully retractable fabric cover and typical "Cycle Wing" fenders.
Thanks to its technical mature and the excellent road holding, the Riley 9 was groundbreaking in its class.
