We are delighted to offer this rare opportunity to acquire a beautifully presented 1938 Riley Big Four Adelphi, chassis number 38 AX 1021. This striking right-hand-drive Adelphi is presented in very good condition and benefits from a well-documented ownership history, which includes the Haviland Morris Riley Museum Trust of Audlem, Cheshire, providing the car with highly traceable and desirable provenance.The car underwent a lengthy and evidently high-quality restoration in the UK, during which the 2448cc four-cylinder engine was upgraded to Pathfinder specification, enhancing both usability and performance. As part of this work, the original dynamo was replaced with an alternator, improving reliability for modern driving.The chassis and bodywork were refinished in an attractive green over black colour scheme, while the interior was completely retrimmed in beige leather, which remains in excellent, near-perfect condition today.
