1946 Riley Woody / Station Wagon 1. 5 RMA Effectively ONE OWNER from new. Garaged from new. Purchased from the Riley factory as a rolling chassis with steel wings, shortly after the second world war, by a retired army colonel. We still have the original guarantee. Body built by a bodybuilder near Salisbury to his personal specifications . Two were made with this body . This one is the sole survivor . Used locally by the owner until the late 1970's then garaged . Unwrapped recently and recommissioned by his descendants . New front brake cylinders and restored carburettor and fuel lines to handle modern fuel . Runs and stops fine . Very quiet sounding engine . 4 new cross ply tyres. All woodwork in excellent completely original condition . No chassis rot . New carpets recently made. Wooden slats and fabric roof, see photos. Door panels Ash/ Oak frame covered with aluminium panels hand painted in 1946 to look like wood. Technique known as "feathering". Has to be seen close up. Starts first time .
