Genuine RMD for sale. These cars very seldom come up for sale as there are now only a couple of hundred left. This car was subject to a restoration over a number of years with the last three photos of the car during its restoration.

It had, at some point in the past, a v8 ftted but the gentleman who did the restoration refitted the original engine. This runs beautifully and if you know RM's they normally run hot, though they should actually run cool. This one does run cool, to the extent that in cool summer evenings on a fast run there in no heat to warm the interior from the heater without disconnecting the fan, a radiator blind would probably be a good alternative. The car also has good oil pressure.

Seats are beautifully recovered in cream leather, the paint is good, not to my taste in colour, however, its not as if you get a choice if you're looking for one of these, it was originally almond green metallic. Head has been skimmed with new copper head gasket and new clutch fitted, brakes are good and petrol tank looks new.

As with most, the rev counter has stopped working as well as the clock though there is a replacement clock mechanism for it. The dashboard is the only part which lets the car down and this needs a bit of work at one corner.

Ideal as a wedding car if that is your want, the passenger seat is easily removed to allow plenty of access to the rear if bride has a large dress, have done this and it works well. Being LHD is actually a benefit in these cars, if you have ever driven a small back window RM you will know how difficult it is to see if anyone is coming up on your offside to overtake on dual carriageway/motorway. Obviously with the roof down vision is exceptional!

I'm open to sensible offers though if you send an insulting one I'll ignore it. Happy to pick up from airport (Glasgow or Prestwick if anyone flys to it) or railway station if you would like to view.
