A beautiful spacious owner driver car with a large sunroof & rakish sports saloon coachwork by Thrupp & Maberly. We sold this car previously to Italy where it is currently registered but also retains its UK registration plate. The current owner is a professional photographer & his pictures make a welcome change to our more prosaic offerings. Please also take time to see the video. A massive bill file comes with the car attesting to the care it has received & it is well worth reading the pages we have photographed to get some idea of the car lavished upon it by Ristes, Fiennes & assorted other specialists. It as a result is in way way above average condition.
This car is currently a dual national meaning no European or UK taxes need be paid by the next owner. It is finished in traditional Masons Black paintwork in good order along with very good brightwork. To the interior is new pale grey/ blue Connolly leather along with dark blue carpets. The cabin has spectacular refinished highly figured walnut to the dash board & door tops making the cabin feel opulent.
Tidy under the bonnet the car pleasingly retains it dual bakelite mushroom style coils. The engine starts readily & runs beautifully at modern A road speeds. It has resided most of its life in dry climates so is exceedingly well preserved with sound solid body timbers. To the capacious boot is a fold open tool tray with its full set of tools in situ along with brace & wheel spanner under the bonnet. A period leather suitcase is found in the boot & a period vanitty set is found in the car.
Imposing from the frontal aspect the car is fitted with Lucas P100 Lamps, twin trumpet horns, a central spotlight & dual side spot lamps. A single side mount spare is found on the drivers side running board.
A simply massive history file comes with the car which had been in long term RREC memebr ownership prior to going to Italy. Bills from the usual specialists totalling well over £50, 000 pounds come with the car & include the all important new aluminium cylinder head.
Used for short summer runs & a few slightly longer ones though the nearby swiss passes, the car has performed flawlessly for the current owner since 2015 never once failing to proceed.
We can collect from Milan in a covered trailer but I would consider this to be akin to growing potatoes in a Ming vase as opposed to the refined pleasure of actually driving it to its new home over the course of a few days. This is a truly lovely car!!!
