1930' Rolls-Royce Phantom 2
1930 Rolls Royce Phantom 2
Phantom II by Bohman & Schwarz (chassis 45GN) (ex Hooper Sedanca de Ville)...
1930 Phantom II was formerly the property of Lord Rothschild of the banking and wine dynasty
This very rare 1930 Phantom 2 chassis number 45GN is offered for sale.
In October 17, 1929, his excellency Sr. Marques de Larios of Spain ordered this long wheel base saloon from the London Rolls-Royce factory. Over 10 custom changes were made to the car especially for the Marques. Gunmetal brass fittings, dictograph speaking tube, P-100 Lucas "King of the Road" headlamps, dropping division window, adjustable rear seats, folding jump seats, center fitted cocktail cabinet, cigarette drawer in the center armrest, and two side wheel carriers with center hubs.
The vehicle has its original build specification paperwork and appears to have a very interesting history.
The original sale was to the high ranking Spanish KING marques de Larios, and it is believed that the purchase was on behalf of King Alphonso of Spain who was his very close friend.
Between 1965 and 1967 the vehicle was subjected to a very comprehensive restoration by a leading company in Geneva, Switzerland.
At some point the car was exported to the USA and a very beautiful Bohman and Schwartz ( of Pasadena USA) coach work was fitted.
The vehicle retains its division glass and all internal fittings for drinks and also additional seating for coachman.
There are also reports that this car was in the ownership of the Rothschild Family. We continue to track down more evidence of its very interesting history.
The car was imported back into UK in 2004 since when it has been used for wedding car service and has been very well looked after.
Have all previous MOT's from 2004
