On offer for sale here is a gloriously elegant 1948 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith H.J. Mulliner Sedanca de Ville. Finished in the desirable exterior colour combination of Cream over Black, this Silver Wraith is one of just 13 Silver Wraiths to have this H.J. Mulliner Sedanca de Ville body fitted.
The front seats of this Silver Wraith Sedanca de Ville are trimmed in tan Connolly leather of the highest quality, and beige West of England wool cloth for the rear seats, an option reserved for Rolls-Royce's most opulent customers. Separating the driver and passenger sections is a glass divide, to give those seated in the latter complete and utter privacy.
According to an accompanying Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts' Club history sheet, WDC35 was despatched to H.J. Mulliner in late 1948 to have its exclusive Sedanca de Ville body fitted, after which it was sent to RR distributor Harold Radford Ltd. of South Kensington for delivery to its first owner, famous shoemakers Lilley & Skinner Ltd. of London in March 1949 for use as a company car for its executives.
Later in its life, this Silver Wraith H.J. Mulliner Sedanca de Ville proceeded to spend a 21-year holiday in Italy between 1994 and 2015, after which it returned to the UK.
The 4.3 Litre straight-6 engine effortlessly powers this luxurious behemoth to comfortable cruising speeds, and runs smoothly without the slightest interruption.
Two car covers also accompany the vehicle.
