The Rover P4 was first introduced in 1948 and was in production for 16 years in one form and another. The P4 conveyed a great sense of Britishness. There is great sense of correctness about the P4 with the interior adorned with leather and wood and the quality of 'build', which accounts for their longevity and charm. Arguably one of the best cars ever produced by the Rover Company. The quite superb 'award winning' example we offer here was first registered registered in London on the ninth of March 1961. It then found it's way to Staffordshire were it was to stay for the next 30 years. The last owner purchased the car in 2011. Immediately the new owner set about a total restoration of the Rover. The rebuild included a complete engine and body rebuild to an exceptionally high standard. The extensive history file, that accompanies the car contains a photographic record of the rebuild. Since the rebuild the has been very well cared for as the history file will testify. The P4 has gone on to win many awards, mainly at Rover club shows. The previously mentioned history file contains an old style log book, V5, many old MOTs going back to the seventies, old tax discs, original owners manual, workshop manual and winners concourse trophy.
