1940' Rover 16/6 Special The Wild Rover

I think it was about 2008 or 2009 my friend and I were in Birmingham to visit a carfair , after that we went also to the rover museum. we saw there a single seater Rover ( from the rover company ) which was restored. We liked the model but not the color ( british racing green, but to light )
After that visit we got the idea to find a car just like that one, that was impossible because it was the only one which rover had built. We found ( i think around 2011 ) a ruling chassis in Germany with the same motor 6 cylinder.
We brought the ruling chassis to a coach builder in the Netherland ( carrosseriebouw jansen ) and the build for me /us the car just like the car in Birmingham, but not a single seater but a 1 + 1 ( you can drive it alone with a metal tonneau cover or with 2 ) we changed for example the radiator core and some other things.
When the car was ready we thought the engine was o.k, well that was complete wrong. an other 2 years we needed to get a good motor revision ( the first company did a quick but bad job ) after that we went to the in Holland well known company ( pasman motoren ) and the did it very good. ( It’s a pity that quality has it’s price )
But around 2014 / 2015 we started with driving we drove most in the netherlands but also in france ( angouleme ) In angouleme we didn’t race but we drove for example the day before the race and we drove 1 time the rally, 1 time concours d’elegance )and also in france some small events around Sarlat le Caneda ( dordogne ) in the netherlands we drove a lot more. I am very happy with my car but the last years I got troubles with my back and one leg. So it’s better for me that I drive with my rover one my trailer, but that was not my hobby. I want to drive in my rover : ).
About 2 years ago I had a taxation ( it’s neccesserry for insurance ) and the told me that the price was then about
€ 95.000. It’s a pitty that the car costed me more than that, but for me it ’s o.k. when somebody will give my about € 105.000,-
