Gateway Classic Cars of Indianapolis is very proud to present this 1937 Studebaker Coupe-Express. The Sedan/pickup truck was one that turned the eyes of the people when this baby was first coming off the production line in South Bend Indiana. This seats three people on the comfortable bench seat that overlooks the long sedan like hood. The spare tire is tucked in front of the passenger side door nicely to give it a unique look with the chrome release handle. and the truck bed behind the cabin is very handy for turning this in to a work truck or a light hauling handy vehicle around the house or farm. This comes with a tailgate that folds down for easy loading and unloading of your cargo. The chrome bumpers really give this the classy look of the sedan/pickup combination. Then you walk up to the front of this baby you need to twist the hood ornament to open the hood. Underneath you will find a brass radiator cooling this inline six cylinder engine. This sits on top of the front I-beam suspension with elliptic springs. In the back the suspension is leaf springs with 2 stage shocks airplane type (tubular) The top speed new was 78 mph running a standing 1/4 mile is a blistering 21.8 seconds. This truck has been very well cared for.
