Seller's comments about 1929' Stutz Le Mans Race Car
This Project is Identical to the Stutz L-8 Back Hawk 125 inch Short Wheelbase Race Car that French Race Car Drivers, Robert Bloch and Edouard Brisson, raced at Le Mans on June 16, 1928. (The first B & W image is from this Race). The Only Exception is that this Project has the Larger M Series 5. 3 L (322 CID) Twin Plug HC High Compression Straight 8 Engine, rather than the smaller Challenger Straight 8 that the Bloch and Brisson Car had in 1928. After Minimal Repairs, Edouard Brisson Raced his same Stutz again only 2 weeks later at the French Grand Prix July 1, 1928. Brisson came in 3rd Place; only 2 Places Behind the Bugatti Type 35C that took 1st Place. In 1929 Brisson, along with Louis Chiron, entered Le Mans again in a very similar Stutz, but with the Larger M Series Engine. Which this Project has. Once Completed, this Stutz Race Car Project would most likely be eligible for many Significant Vintage Races in Europe and North America. This Project comes with a Title/ Registration.
