Seller's comments about 1924' Sunbeam 20/60 Boat Tail Roadster
This beautiful Sunbeam has the same bodywork styling as one built by Park Ward of London, however on this car the wing lines are more stylish. In all 1564 Sunbeam 20/ 60 cars were built in varying configurations with 6 cylinder 3. 2 litre engine, with a 4 speed gearbox. This car was discovered in the 1960's , rebuilt in the early 1990's in Queensland. The last owner having had the car for nearly 20 years , and he has used the car regularly since . The most recent tour was a 1200klm event which the car completed with complete reliability , in less than favourable conditions. This Sunbeam is really comfortable to sit in and certainly feels younger than most cars of the period, in terms of performance and handling. It really is a quality machine. The bodywork is excellent as is the interior, however there are some paint marks and chips on the wings and chassis rails, really a sign of use more than anything, and expected patina. Complete with a hood and matching tonneau cover and a comprehensive set of manuals and books. This really is an opportunity to step into a fully enjoyable pre war car for a reasonable outlay.
