Lot 1

A 1947 Sunbeam Talbot 10 drophead coupé restoration project, registration number FVC 910, chassis number 1329010, engine number C20743, Black. This rare Sunbeam Talbot was first registered on 31 January 1947 to Coventry Garage Ltd, Coventry. Its first private owner was a Mr Samuel Stanley Taylor from Meriden, Warwickshire. Mr Taylor in turn sold the Sunbeam to a Mr G Wright from Tipton, Staffs. There were subsequently three further custodians, one from Middlesex and two from Newton Abbot, Devon. Our client purchased it approximately 30 years ago from the second Newton Abbot owner as a running and driving car. He subsequently stripped the car in readiness for a restoration which unfortunately this did not materialise due to work and other commitments. He has now taken the decision to sell the project due to his advancing years and he feels he will no longer be able to finish it. The Sunbeam will be offered for auction with a list of previous owners, a handbook and sundry paperwork. V5C, MOT and tax exempt See illustration
