Nothing beats a classic Land Cruiser... quite literally. 4x4s like this 1974 Toyota FJ40 helped earn the company its tough-as-nails reputation back in the day, and this attractive classic is still ready for off-road duty today. The lifted stance, full-size spare, gas can holder, and tow hitch - its all showcasing the go-anywhere readiness of this FJ. Even the khaki tan paint with white top looks safari-ready. The idea is to deliver a Land Cruiser with quite a clean-looking body and even some added ruggedness with the liner paint on the underside. Youre not going to spot too many frills and superfluous add-ons because this is just looking for the robustness that comes from getting the fundamentals right. And if youve priced classic FJs lately, we bet youre also excited about the extra room in your budget this one gives you if there is a feature you want to add. Its the kind of classic SUV that loves to remain versatile, right down to the removable hardtop. Inside, the dual bucket seats are quite complete and comfortable. This has a great classic feeling with the thin/grippy three-spoke steering wheel, clean factory gauges, and even the instructions for engaging the four-wheel drive are still bolted to the dash. Its all quite stock inside, but there are also some nice upgrades for added usefulness. This includes the cup holder center console thats also a locking box. And the rear seat is now a more traditional forward-facing bench thats more comfortable for when you carry people back there. Toyotas hardy and torque-filled 3.8-liter inline-six is the backbone of the Land Cruisers tough-as-nails reputation. This one even has some nice additions like a Holley dual-barrel carburetor, an exhaust header, and a newer aluminum radiator with electric fan. You have full control over the motor with the four-speed manual transmission. Plus, its a solid in-town cruiser with power steering, power brakes (with a newer master cylinder,) and front discs. And the 4x4 two-speed transfer case and nice tread on the all-terrain tires are there to make sure your fun starts when the road ends. This is a true icon thats great for both on and off-road. Dont let this rugged, clean, and affordable FJ slip away. Call today!!!
