1990' Trabant 601

Good morning,

I will sell a Trabant 601 hycomat limousine from 1990 in great condition. I bought it about 3 years ago with the intention of learning small mechanics and out of sentiment because I had such a vehicle before. Unfortunately, as time showed, there was not enough time and enthusiasm to work on it.

In the meantime, to improve the condition of the car, I decided to have the carburetor regenerated by one of the best specialists in this field - in a workshop on Szarych Szeregów Street in Warsaw. Currently, after regeneration of the carburetor, the Trabant stands in a workshop on ul. Bartycka (at the gentlemen I found on the trabant forum) and is waiting for the assembly of the regenerated carburetor. This should be done within a week or so.

The car is still registered on black number plates because I bought it long enough that I was not obliged to re-register it, which came into force some time ago. In this way, I wanted to preserve the original character and atmosphere of the car.

While the Trabant was my property, it was constantly in garage (with the previous owner as well) so it is in extremely nice condition. So that the wheels do not warp, I put it on trestles. The interior is beautifully kept in its original condition. It seems to me that the interior is a bit different than the standard Trabants, because the original material is of much better quality and structure than other Trabants I have seen so far. Perhaps it is an imported version (only I suppose), because I bought it close to the border - in Wałbrzych, from where it came to me by a tow truck. It seems to me that the car was not painted and from what I remember the paint was refreshed by the previous owner. However, I do not know it 100% - in short, the paintwork is in very good condition.

The mileage is approximately 26,000 km.
