Seller's comments about 1948' Triumph 1800 Roadster

Morris Leslie Vehicle Auctions are pleased to announce this lot will be offered for sale in our forth coming auction of classic vehicles on Saturday 19th August at our Perthshire auction centre, over 200 expected entries.

Estimate £16,000 - £18,000

Chassis number TRD1865 - immortalised by its role in Bergerac and unveiled at the 1946 London Motor Show, the 1800 Roadster was the last production car ever to be offered with a dickey seat, and when road tested by Autocar magazine during 1947 the top speed was found to be "satisfying but not startlingly high". Between 1946 and 1948 approximately 2500 examples were produced.
