For sale is my very rare Triumph Monte Carlo.

These cars were based on the Gloria chassis and designed originally as the Competition Tourer.

Triumph brought out the Gloria range in 1933, and for the sporting enthusiast they had the Southern Cross and the Monte Carlo.

The Monte Carlo was so named sue to the success of the Triumph works cars in the Monte Carlo Rally.

These Triumphs were made with sporting drivers in mind, with 17Gallon fuel tanks, Twin Spare wheels, light Aluminum body, Andre Harte Tele Control suspension along with a rigid chassis, direct steering and very good wet weather equipment.

They were powered by the Coventry Climax 1232cc IOE engine, with twin progressive carbs. Unlike their contemporaries they had Hydraulic Brakes which meant they also stopped when descending the long mountain passes.
These Triumphs were forever competitors to Riley, being slightly more powerful then the 9hp, it would have been a direct competitor to the Gamecock and 9hp Lynx.

This particular car has been mine since 2006, and I have completed many miles, including a drive to Monte Carlo and back, lots of continental touring and many UK miles.

Engine was rebuilt by Formhalls, gearbox and steering box rebuilt, brakes rebuilt, wheels rebuilt, fuel tank taken apart and resealed, bushes and King pins replaced as necessary.

It runs well, nice and comfy to drive and today gives good performance and nice precise handling.

Please do not hesitate to get in contact if you want further info.
