1964' Triumph Spitfire

Perhaps one of the easiest ways to add certain panache to a car is to employ an Italian design house to pen the body style. That is just what Triumph did in the early sixties, obtaining the services Micheloti to design their new entry level sports car, the Triumph Spitfire. However, the Spitfire not only looked good, it drove well to boot. A simple car that delivers way beyond expectations, a featherlight 2 seater sports car that provides plenty of smiles per mile.
The totally restored example we offer here was in store from 1977 until 2013 and has ony had 4 owners from new. The car was then restored over 8 year period. The body totally rebuilt using new panels from British Heritage and included new floors, sills, boot floor, front lower valance, door skins, lower A and B posts, rear wings, and new bonnet. All these panels were correctly spot welded by a professional welder. The engine was completely rebuilt with many new parts. The gearbox and overdrive rebuilt. Rebuilt drive shafts, new propshaft. Suspension rebuilt with new adjustable front and rear shock absorbers, fully poly bushed, new springs and anti roll bar. All new brakes including new front discs. Stainless steel manifold and exhaust system. New wiring loom and lights. All new interior trim. All new glass, reconditioned instruments. Re chromed front and rear bumpers. New soft top. The history file accompanying the car contains a Heritage cetrificate and many invoices for parts and labour.
The car comes with overdrive, hardtop. The car has been through our workshop for a complete check over and is now ready to show and enjoy.
