1948' Triumph Tr1800 Roadster

Triumph Roadster TR1800 1948, just completed a three year body off restoration in November 2016 after being off the road since 1972.
Chassis was stripped and renovated, the brakes were reconditioned with new copper brake pipes, new seals to master cylinder with re sleeved brake slave cylinders and new linings. Body received new ash timberwork to, both doors door sills, door rockers, A posts, B posts, screen top rail and new plywood floor. Shock absorbers were reconditioned with new rubber bushes. The engine was reconditioned with a solid copper head gasket, new rings new small end and big end bearings, valve springs, timing chain, timing chain guide and new clutch, with a new stainless steel exhaust system and new gear change linkage. The car was rewired though out with halogen headlights and flashing indicators, new electric fuel pump and electric radiator fan. The original indicators are still present, but not wired in. Most of the chrome was re chromed and the exterior is finished in Dark Blue with new door handles. The interior of the car has been reupholstered in Grey Connolly hide with dark blue carpets and a refurbished wooden dashboard. The hood is black and made from Duck fabric with matching hood cover.
