1976' Triumph TR6

Triumph TR6, 1976, Beautiful original car with low mileage and only one repaint from new. LHD , French Blue with Black interior. Car has only had 3 owners in the USA and has all the original steel panels from new. So many of these cars have been taken apart or repaired so it is refreshing to find one that is rust free and fits together as it did from the factory. It still has the original hood which does have a few marks but fits tight as a drum with no gaps and has a clear zip out back window.
Overall this is a really honest car that shows considerable recent expenditure on most of the items that wear out or fail due to age. I think this is one of the nicest colours Triumph ever made and the paint work although old, still looks very pretty. The brakes have had new discs and pads, master cylinder and flexi pipes. The suspension has had ball joints and bushes and Koni shocks . The wheels are in lovely condition inside and out and shod with expensive Michelin Red Lines. Clutch master and slave cylinders are new and gear change is smooth and positive. The engine bay has all the original blue paint in evidence and is clean and tidy. It has electronic ignition , new leads , cap and lots of bits and pieces. Starts on the button and idles smooth as silk. There is also a complete new exhaust system.
The speedo is only showing 41000 mls which I guess is incorrect but you can tell in an instant that this is no abused high mile car. The interior is in lovely condition considering its 41 years old, dash is really clean, wood isnt cracked, top is perfect. Has new carpets and a new stereo system. All the guages and switches work as they should.
The car has a full 12 month mot and is tax free . If you're after a genuine nice car that can be used straight away without all the headaches but could be steadily improved still, then you should try and view it.
