Seller's comments about 1974' TVR 3000

Produced for only one year between 1973 and 1974, the 3000ML was a special luxury version of the 3000M that included a walnut veneer dashboard, leather trim, Wilton carpets, electric windows, sunroof, and high-backed seats of a style different from those found in the standard cars. It also featured extra soundproofing and a roof liner made using West of England cloth. It’s thought only 5 remain on the road (2 overseas and one is a race car)The car had a full restoration and was completed in August 2015 where it was taken to the Pre-80’s and duly won the award for Best Restoration which was presented by Martin Lilley and Mike Bigland (TVR). There is a full article in Sprint March 2016 detailing the work carried out.In brief the car has a new chassis which was shot blasted, hot zinc primed and then powder coated. All the suspension arms were replaced, and new bushes fitted the diff and gearbox were re-conditioned and the engine has been re-built with a Kent 234 fast road cam. The heads are mated to a fully balanced short motor. No part of the car has been left untouched with a 4 page print out itemising every part and its cost that went into the restoration (Over £14, 000 spent on parts alone!). The last owner has also improved the car with the fitting of the Chrome bumpers. The car has travelled just over 9000k miles since rebuild including two trips to the Spa Classic and numerous TVRCC events in the UK. This is a wonderfully restored, reliable and easy to maintain classic.
