Seller's comments about 1966' Vanden Plas Princess

MOT until November.
A real curio
Requires new clutch, so not running, (was running previously) otherwise not bad. This is the extended version, has a chauffeur's partition. This car has seen various service, weddings, funerals, film and photo.
Interior is good, all the original leather seats, and carpets and veneer. Smells lovely. Exterior paintwork has some repairs on it and looks its age.Chrome-work is very good all over, inside and out, around the windows etc, bumpers, including the wheels. Very little rust excepting the two front running boards need rewelding.
The price reflects the fast that the clutch has gone and the engine needs some work. It starts on the button and runs but needs retuning, and two of the piston rings are possibly stuck, needs new plugs and wires.
The rear partition between the boot and the interior has recently been rebuilt and the usual Princess damp damage removed, and the rear window and front window resealed to prevent damp.
At present this characterful car belongs to a film company.
With a bit of work it can be used for film, or for personal use as a highly original personal limousine, or with more work, reverted to a wedding car (which it used to be) or ceremonial car.
It has a Von Roos family penant that has flown from the radiator.
(Von Roos is one of the major Swedish aristocratic families, and there is a large semi nude portrait of one of its female family members concealed behind a panel in the boot!)
