Seller's comments about 1926' Vauxhall 14/98 Special

Essentially a 30/98 2+2, this is a 1926 Vauxhall 14/40 that has been upgraded with a 4225cc engine, 30/98 radiator, 23/60 gearbox, 3:1 rear axle, 21" wheels and tyres and much more. Bodywork is in the style of a 30/98 Velox. Long range fuel tank similar to a Le Mans Bentley. Interior and weather equipment is all new. It is a great event car for trials / hill climbs or long distance rallies. It is well documented in the latest 30/98 Register and has a VSCC Buff Form.
It has the benefit of a full set of genuine 1920's Vauxhall components. It has 14/40 chassis LM1865, engine number OD1086, gearbox G3489A together with 14/40 axles and radiator. It is fitted with a Velox style body and has new buttoned Connelly hide upholstery and full trim and weather equipment. The car was restored by the late Trevor Timms in New Zealand and is officially documented as VV14-40/OD1086. With its relatively light weight, powerful engine and long range fuel tank, it is ideal for endurance rallies. Similar cars have figured well in hill climbs at Prescott and VSCC trials as well as in rallies such as the Flying Scotsman and Peking to Paris . Very competitively priced compared with a 30/98.
