Seller's comments about 1963' Volkswagen Beetle

We’re pleased to present this 1963 Volkswagen Beetle, a UK-supplied panel sunroof model with just two owners from new.The Beetle was under its first custodianship for the majority of its life. Due to the passing of its first owner, the Beetle was left dormant for some years, until a friend of theirs took on the car to resurrect it into the vehicle you see today. Once the private project had been completed, it was sold to its current keeper, who has owned the Beetle for the past five years. After completing our pre-sale inspection, we’re pleased to confirm it’s a solid car, ready and waiting for its next custodian.A unique selling point for this Beetle is its factory-optioned panel sunroof, which isn’t so common and allows the driver and passengers to enjoy an open, airy feel during the warmer months. The original logbook is present, with matching-number body and floorpan.The Beetle has previously undergone a full body respray in a stunning hue of Sea Blue L360, a colour introduced to 1960s Beetles. During its restoration, it underwent a few changes with the installation of US-spec towel rail bumpers and wider wheels, contributing to its stocky stance, which is easily reversible to a classic appearance with standard width wheels.The underside is in solid condition. Moving inside, all seats are finished in grey cord vinyl, with matching-coloured door cards, all of which present in great condition. All dashboard features, including the steering wheel, remain original. The original headlining shows signs of wear, which we would describe as character and representative of its age.Powering the Beetle is an upgraded twin-port engine, which runs smoothly and starts on the key.This Beetle also benefits from a full inspection by ourselves, along with some subtle refinements so it’s ready to be enjoyed.We’re welcoming early interest, as this is new stock as of 6 February 2026.
