Seller's comments about 1964' Volkswagen Beetle

This 1964 Volkswagen Beetle has been given the time and care over the years to continue to radiate cool cruising style. With an extra clean look, the right period-correct pieces, and an impressive paperwork file, its appearance just loves to turn back the clock. Beetle aficionados cherish these years because of the craftsmanship that goes into the earlier cars. You see it everywhere from the vents under the headlights, to the W decklid (one of the last years for this desirable feature.) There has been a nice restoration investment in this car a few decades ago, and the way it continues to look good shows that it has seen respected care over the years. Its all proven in the details like the beautiful full-length trim, clean glass, and correct/classic wheel covers. And the red paint continues to have a vibrant style that makes for a classic that cant help but make you smile when you see it. The VW interior is simple, classic, and like a true time machine when you invest to restore it correctly. The exterior paint returns on all the metal pieces to make it look like this bright red was dipped at the factory. The ivory on the upholstery, door inserts, steering wheel, and dash knobs have a modest but attractive style. Plus, it has all the right classic details, like the VDO speedometer with a separate fuel gauge and Wolfsburg crest horn button. And the square weave carpeting feels as classically German as oompah music. The engine bay is a marvel of simplicity - just what these Beetles should be. We have an engine replacement receipt from 1998 that suggests this is a 1600cc unit. That would make it more than stock, and in fact, the largest in the North American VW series. It certainly wont make you a speed demon in your Bug, but it is a nice upgrade that hints at the full cruiser style. Besides, the fun of the Volkswagen flat-four is all about the way you make your own music between the air-cooled hum and shifts of the four-speed manual transmission. The sale comes complete with nice paperwork, like the original warranty card, previous registrations, owners manual, maintenance records, classic brochures, and a dealer invoice from September 1963. This is a fun cruiser with a true classic attitude. So if you want to turn back the clock, do it in this VW. Call today!!!
