A local bus to us for many years and having been mainly kept in the dry meaning we had a really good shell to start as the basis for restoration. The bus has been stripped, carefully prepared and repainted in our favourite early VW colour scheme, Titian Red / Beige Grey.
This is a first class restoration that involved stripping down all of the exterior components including the restoration of the pop top roof with a brand new colour coded canopy to match the body.
Original steel wheels sand blasted and painted, fitted with brand new vintage whitewall tyres and polished hub caps.
Fully reconditioned 1600cc engine. Reconditioned brakes and other mechanical components wherever required. Geneberg Quick shift gear linkage. Wood rimmed steering wheel.

Bespoke headliner and neatly trimmed edges around pop top aperture in original style off white perforated vinyl featuring 6x LED downlights for functional lighting.
Full upholstery throughout in Titian Red vinyl with the elusive original style reproduction of the early VW salt & pepper vinyl with fluted inserts throughout on seats and door cards. This really gives a unique and very special feel inside the bus blending old with new marvellously.
New Madmatz full front carpet set covering wheel arches, central section and cab floor neatly to finish.
This bus is freshly restored, comes with 12 months MOT (even though not required anymore by law) and fully tested ready to be driven away. One of very few left on our new range ready for Spring 2023.
