1982' Volkswagen Golf

Description: This is a car we raced in the Slick 50 and subsequent series that follows from 2000-2004, it has a few wins, 2nds , 3rds to its name has raced at most the major UK circuits and the Nurburgering in Germany, no crashes.

The Car has a Racing Solutions engine and chassis, consisting or a new 1. 8 engine, rebored skimmed, race pistons and rods, balanced crank, race cam, gas flowed and ported head, sump baffle, uprated oil pump, electronic rev limiter and much much more.

The chassis has competition fully adjustable Koni dampers and springs, uprated antiroll bars, lower and upper strut brace, role cage, fire suppressant system, track-fax lap timing, polly bushes. Brakes inline with the competition rules are original size with competition pads and disks front and adjusted drums at the rear along with a rear brake bias valve, and again much more.

In 2019/ 20 the car was stripped, glass out, restored and resprayed in its original black, with a catalogue of reciepts for the many many parts which were replaced as it was put back together replacing most clips fastenings and any marked parts.

The car has a incredible provenace, has been restored keeping the originality of the MK1 Golf GTI and the history of the race series, there are still a few bits to install inside which are not shown fitted in the pictures, a couple of door handels etc which we have and will be fitted before sale.

The car is ideal as a weekend or track car (or both) it is set up for track however still a lot of fun on the road, it comes with Steel wheels with RainX tyres and we have a set of Campaign wheels with yokahama scrubbed soft tyres that can be bought separately.

Drives beautifully, test drives only with proof of insurnace.
