1970' Volkswagen Käfer

This beautifully restored VW Beetle impresses with its presence alone. It has 2 previous owners and was restored in an official VW workshop by specialists in their free time for their own use and was intended to be a gift. But the recipient wasn't really happy and so the car came to the current owner in 2013.

It was a stroke of luck for him because he drove exactly the same car in this color combination when he was young. The background of the restoration actually resulted in a perfectly made Beetle, but one that did not appear over-restored (dead). So it was a purchase based on conviction.

The almost 56,000km is probably correct, as the Beetle was in a garage for around 20 years and was "forgotten". The restoration was carried out down to the last screw using as many refurbished original parts as possible.
After a period of downtime over the winter, we did a fresh "check" (§57a) at the TÜV and in the process overhauled the brakes and checked fluids.

Now that the car is rarely used (the owner has several vehicles), it can bring joy to a new owner.
