The VW special model known as “Samba” - the official name in the VW range - was presented at the first post-war IAA in April 1951 in Frankfurt am Main. Typical of this version are the chrome wheel caps, a polished VW emblem on the front, the two-tone paint, the lavish chrome strips, the generous folding sunroof and the eight roof windows.
This example comes from German production, was built on June 24th, 1963, delivered on July 3rd and registered for the first time in Vienna on July 12th. According to VW's certificate, a "steering starter lock", six opening side windows and a 12 V battery were installed ex works. According to the original type certificate, the bus received a replacement engine in March 1967 and changed several owners, but was always in the Vienna area until 1983. It has been lovingly and faithfully restored by the current owner, one of the best commercial VW restorers in Europe, who has been driving the bus himself for many years, and is therefore in technically and visually perfect condition.

I would like to warmly invite you to view the vehicles on site. The vehicles are located in A-2460 Bruck an der Leitha and is halfway between Vienna and Bratislava, each about 25 km away. By car, our location is directly via the A4 motorway, exit Bruck/L. West can be reached very quickly. Arriving by plane is very easy via the international airport Vienna-Schwechat (Vienna Airport), only 20 km away, or via Bratislava Airport, 35 km away. We would also be happy to pick you up personally from one of the two airports.
