1970' Volkswagen T2

One of the finest buses that has ever crossed our path. Interesting history from new. Originally supplied to a US serviceman who was stationed in West Germany and later imported to California where it spent around 30 years just north of LA. Later imported into the UK.
This bus has been restored by some of the very best names in the business, renowned and well respected in the VW scene. Irvs restoration carried out a full bare metal strip down / respray that has been documented and photographed. The entire shell has been stripped down and repainted inside and out. Anyone who has followed this company will know the level of quality that they deliver and how difficult it is to obtain a vehicle that has been passed through their expert hands.
Uprated Bilstein shock absorbers to transform the ride quality. 1600cc Twin Port engine running on twin weber carburettors and new ancillaries. Starts and performs very well indeed. Engine bay fire suppression system. Engine bay meticulously detailed to a very high standard. Oil pressure and oil temperature gauges retrofitted. Repro Porsche Fuch wheels in polished chrome. Tow bar.
Really pleasant interior featuring the iconic Westfalia pop top roof with replacement canvas. Roof rack behind for additional storage. This is useful for strapping larger items down when on longer trips. There is a full width double bed in the pop top area also making the van a 4 berth sleeping capacity. You always have the option of adding an awning also to increase this.
Original Westfalia units with a very smart retrofitted Waeco fridge unit incorporating a modern fridge whilst retaining the classic styling. Rock n roll pull down bed in the rear that is a 2 person rear seat which folds down to make a double bed. Inertia 3-point seat belts front and rear. Lovely beige upholstery throughout resplendent with red piping. The colour scheme always amazes and intrigues the eye without fail!
