Volvo 164 auto 1971.
in my opinion, it is probably one of the best volvo 164's that you will see.
50 years old car.
this car is just as good as the photos, the interior is in superb condition.
lovingly restored to near original condition. Hundreds of hours have been spent getting this car to such a high standard.
the car is in a nearly original condition, apart from re paint by myself last year.
even though it has a full stainless steel exhaust, i have painted the tailpipe black, and even the bottom wheel wells, as this is how they came from the factory.
the car has not had any new panels or wheel arch repairs.
there has never been any radio fitment.
mileage is 51070
i have replaced some parts, like the rear number plate light, and obtained the correct new anco wipers and arms.
all 5 wheels have been refurbished, the correct colour, and 5 new whitewall tyres.
various items have been rechromed, door handles and front indicator pod.
a brand new grill has been found and fitted, as have the front foglights.
the engine bay has been given a freshen up, block painted , all nuts and bolts replaced with stainless steel .
the rocker cover, brake pipes, radiator, even the alternator and water pump and other components have been polished, there is no chrome under the bonnet.
i have managed to find some new screws for the wheel trims, most are rusty,
this car is very well known within the volvo club, and does represent a fantastic example, which has won a few awards in my ownership.
i have a very thick file with the cars history, and books as well as tool kit.
the car is based in manchester, sk8 .
