1938' Wolseley 12/48

Wolseley 12/ 48 series 3 saloon 1938 in good running order and good overall condition. Reupholstered seats in blue leather to an exceptional standard. New headlining. Door cards. Carpets. Refurbished hardwood door cappings/ dashboard. Chromework is in good condition. Working sunroof. 1548cc o. H. v. Engine starts on the button and runs very smoothly. Mechanically has benefitted from a recent skim on the manifold with a new gasket, a new electric fuel pump and towbar fitted to tow 1930’s period caravan. New battery, never needs to be charged. Gearbox is positive and changes as it should with very light clutch action. Brakes work well as they are hydraulic unlike other pre-war cars. The brakes have been rebuilt with new brake lines, copper and flexible. Chassis and bodywork are in very good order for an 84 year old. Paintwork is bright and shiny. Comes with spare wheel and tyres are in good condition. All in all this is a very useable pre-war quality car which has had more money spent on the interior alone than the asking price. Comes with original handbook and original road test report from "the motor" magazine which states that the new wolseley twelve saloon is a full five seater of good performance.
