Seller's comments about 1947' Wolseley 14 / 60 Six Light

The Wolseley is of Pre-war design but benefits from post war build and included the up-graded super smooth 6 cylinder engine. Built in 1947 and registered in March 1947, this is confirmed by the buff log book. The Wolseley was purchased as a " derelict " in 1991 by Mr George Latus for the sum of £800-00 and was brought back to life over the next two years, there are photographs of the finished car. In July 2010 the Wolseley was purchased by the previous owner to join a small quality collection of Classic Cars. During the Gentlemans ownership the Wolseley has been professionaly restored, up-graded and improved to a level that would be difficult to replicate. Works include a professional in depth body restoration to include a full re-spray with hand painted coach lines. The interior has been completly retrimmed to include door cards, Full leather seats, Carpets, re-built Sun roof and Head Cloth, the result is quite magnificent. The Suspension has been overhauled, Brakes overhauled to include a Remote Brake Servo, a Stainless Steel Fuel Tank and Stainless Steel Exhaust. The Instruments were also re-built with the addition of a Temperature Gauge and matching Rev-counter and everything works correctly including the Time clock. At the same time the car had an Alternator conversion which includes the fitting of Halogen Head lights, the car also has a modern Heater system fitted which allows very comfortable winter motoring when weather permits. The Wolseley has working Semafors with additional flashing indicators. I have on file all the original invoices for works performed over the last seven years, these invoices total just short of a whopping £52000-00. As well as being a superb " Show " car the Wolseley has also been a very successful Wedding Car, the car has been sold as part of a sizing down plan. This is your chance to own a high quality Classic car at a fraction of its re-build cost.
