Seller's comments about 1939' Wolseley 14/60 Series Iii
1939 Wolseley 14/60 Series III. This is a really nice condition, original 14/60. I bought this after having another one for a good while that was a little tired. This car has been extensively mechanically overhauled by David Palmer, one of the country's leading specialists in these pre war Wolseleys. It has had a full engine rebuild. New white metal bearings, pistons, unleaded head etc. I have bills for over £3500. The engine is still new, and still needing to be run in. It had a new clutch and propshaft overhaul. The brakes have been resleeved with stainless liners new shoes ect. and it has silicone fluid. The body is really solid with no structural problems, the bottom of two doors have a few cosmetic bubbles,as has the boot, but I'm being critical here. The paint has been touched in and painted in a few different shades of Trafalgar blue, but the car looks smart, as you can see. The interior is nice and original, with original blue leather, it has a few cracks in the leather but nothing you wouldn't expect. it has had a new headlining in and the sunroof works fine, with no leaks. the chrome is good with a mix of original and replated. I have also got a brand new higher ratio diff to go in the car when it's run in, but this stands me at £1000, so isn't coming free with the car, but is available by separate negotiation. All in all, this is a lovely car that I'm very reluctantly selling, as I'm just not using it enough. I have a young daughter and can't fit a baby seat in it, so it never really comes out of the garage. Feel free to ask any questions, and to come and look at the car, but please, only genuine parties, who are in a position to buy. Thanks.
