Seller's comments about 1963' Wolseley 1500
The Wolseley 1500 is a "luxury compact" produced by the British Motor Corporation from 1957 to 1965. Originally conceived as a restyled Morris Minor, it features the Minor's highly regarded torsion-bar suspension and rack-and-pinion steering. Powered by a 1, 489 cc B-series engine, it produced between 43 to 52 bhp depending on the model year.This Wolseley 1500 was first registered on the 12th July 1963 in London, recently the car has spent a number on years in Kent.The Wolseley has had a lot of money spent it on it and is now offered as a project only needing finishing off.The engine starts and runs well, we have not driven it down the road however it does drive and has brakes.The bodywork is very solid, it is not covered in thick underseal hiding any sins and all work has been carried out to a good standard. The paintwork presents well and although does have some blemishes it looks good and polishes up nicely.The interior is in good order it has a new carpet fitted and the seats have been recovered. It comes Colette with a very unusual sunroof which is a lovely addition.This is lovely project for someone who just wants some tinker time, it’s nearly there and just needs some snagging doing before a maiden voyage.
