I am privileged to offer for sale this incredibly rare and superb time warp condition 1989/ F Audi UR-Quattro 10V MB in super rare pearlescent white with white Ronal alloys shod in nearly new Pirelli tyres. This car has had a full window out body restoration by renowned local body shop, Norfolk Coachworks with full photographic records. The paintwork is in stunning condition and is the best condition Quattro I have seen for many years.This car has 100000 miles on the clock and has only covered 7000 miles in the last 20 years. The MOT history shows some MOT tests performed in KM and others in miles hence the discrepancies. The current orange digital dash could do with refurbing, but this is a common issue and easily rectified.This car has also previously had a full underbody restoration by a Quattro specialist to include all new shocks, springs, ABS overhaul, cylinder head overhaul, front and rear subframes removed, shotblasted and rust protected. Again, I have a full photographic record of this work.Audi's Quattro is a legend that re-wrote the form book in International Rallying, as well as causing rival manufacturers to rethink their offerings and was, quite literally, a trailblazer. The story began with Audi chassis engineer Jörg Bensinger, who spent a Finnish winter testing the Volkswagen Iltis, a four-wheel drive West German military and forest service vehicle and found it could outperform all other machines on snow, whatever their type or power output. He put the idea of a four-wheel drive version of the Audi 80 Coupé to the company's hierarchy and, well, you know the rest.This later MB model ran from 1988-89 and is the last, rarest and most sought after 10v model benefiting from factory updates over the 1981-1987 WR model such as a larger engine block ( 2200cc), improved turbo with better torque delivery, newer style orange digital dash, new and far superior torque sensing Torsen differential 4WD. Of the 2710 Quattro’s that came into the UK there are only 120 MB models and a mere handful in Pearl white.Factory options on this car are the full black leather, heated seats and manual sunroof.The interior is in superb condition to compliment the stunning exterior. The car has been garaged by its Audi collector owner for the last eight years and has only covered a few hundred miles in that time with the same owner since 2018. This very special Quattro comes with a significant file of invoices, photographic records and lots of completed work to ensure this iconic car feels as good as ever. I have personally known the current owner for 35 years and we used to regularly travel to Audi and VW shows together in Quattro’s, MK1 GTI’s and VR6’s etc so this car has left an indelible personal mark on me.This is the car that defines Audi and even to this day it continues to be their most special car. Good ones of these have now become highly desirable especially with a superb restoration carried out. In outstanding condition inside and out and comes with full book pack and a large file of receipts.Pre-sales preparation will include a fresh MOT and a full detail including machine polish.
