1949' Austin A40 Devon 4 Door Saloon.

The Devon was built in 1949 and first
registered by Abbey Service Garage of Nuneaton. The Devon was specified new with
a Heater and to be finished in Pastel Green. An aditional £3-00 was charged by
the Factory as the car was to be up-graded to Sliding Head ( Metal Sunroof ).
According to the history file the car had covered 54159 miles at its M.O.T dated
14th of June 1972, this had risen to 57891 by the 14th of May 1992, the recorded
milage today stands at 62632. During the previous owners care the past 7 years
the car has received attention in many area,s, some of the works include, Engine
Re-build, Gearbox rebuild, Brake overhaul, New Radial Tyres, Stainless Steel
Fuel Tank, Stainless Steel Exhaust, Inertia Reel Seat Belts, front and Rear, New
Head lining, Fully Re-upholstered in Biscuit Leather with New matching Carpets,
Halogen Head Lamps and a new Fuel pump and regulator. In all i have invoices on
file for a staggering £21000, the car is unrepeatable, drives superbly as you
would expect. The Devon is currently being prepared for sale at our workshop and
should be available for purchase in about a weeks time.
