Beautiful and very disable Golf Yellow left-hand drive European 1973 BMW 2002 tii. The car started, drives, and stops as it should. The car has no known mechanical issue and can be enjoyed as is for many years to come. A true German classic that is getting difficult to find in this condition.

The car was first registered in Denmark on April 2, 1975 by its Danish owner from the island of Funen.

Per the previous owner, the original Danish owner had the car until 1997 when it was sold and underwent a carful restoration. At the time of restoration, the car had around 147,000 kilometers on the odometer. The odometer war than reset to zero after the restoration and the car has driven 14,336 kilometers since the restoration in 1997. Per the previous owner, the restoration included full dissembling, new paint job and new interior. At the same time the original engine block was replaced with a new BMW engine block along with rebuilt injection. Otherwise, the engine compartment was untouched.

History of the 1968-1976 BMW 2002:
The 2002 is perhaps the most famous of BMW. The world was captivated by the 2002’s attractive blend of power, agility and style – in addition to its reasonable price tag. 2002’s was offered in several varieties including the single carbureted 100hp base 2002, and the über-sporty 2002tii. Both were powered by a 2.0 liter SOHC I4, but the tii added mechanical fuel injection to wring out 130hp. Other variations included the cabriolet, targa, a three-door touring model, a twin-carbureted ti and a rare turbo. 1973 yielded a major aesthetic redesign, supplanting rectangular taillights for round. The availability of parts for these cars is nearly limitless; in 2005, BMW even constructed a “new” 1972 tii almost entirely from its vast supply of replacement parts.
