Its time for an awesome classic thats also a Hollywood star. This 1971 Buick Riviera was driven by Al Pacino in the 2017 movie Hangman. So while youll love this one for its stunning paint, loaded interior, and numbers-matching big V8 power...we also bet you cant resist owning a piece of history that shared screen time with one of the best actors ever. The copper/bronze color of this Riviera looks great on a 1970s classic. And the shine it gives off today is a cool hint at its movie history. If you already know Hangman, then youve seen this car has a few scrapes in the paint that arent there today. Thats because we have receipts showing thousands $$$$ invested in a quality respray in 2018. A good shine is exactly what you want on a 3rd gen Riviera, because a deep luster lets the sunshine show off the crisp sheetmetal and terrific style. The pointed front end has a deep crease that flows outward on the long hood until it merges with the door line. The rear fenders have one of the sportiest kick-ups ever given to a car, and the full-length pinstripe really loves to highlight this. Iit all flows toward the back where you have Corvette Sting Ray glass and rear sheetmetal that taper inward to give even more definition to the pointed boat tail. Oh yes, this was one of the few times GMs dream cars made it into the publics hands. The interior was also part of the restoration investment. So the button-top saddle seats have a great period-correct look, but a far fresher feel. Theres plenty of room for family and friends, but all you need to do is fold down the front armrest to remind you this is a personal luxury cruiser. Youll slip behind the thin three-spoke steering wheel, and its on a tilt column to give you a commanding view of all the features that surround you. Its a driver-oriented setup that includes power windows, an upgraded cup holder console, and a terrific sporty machine-turned dash panel. There are even provisions for R134a air condition (likely just needs a recharge to blow cold again.) Under the hood is the bold red block of the massive 455 cubic-inch V8. Buick didnt make them any bigger, and so these have a reputation for serious power and torque. This is the numbers-matching motor topped with a four-barrel carburetor. The consignor states it has been rebuilt, and it the way it runs supports that feeling. Plus, it has added confidence on the road with newer front suspension components and pinion seals from the 2018 restoration. And it has nice features like the power steering, power brakes w/discs up front, and the numbers-matching three-speed automatic transmission. The sale includes maintenance records, service manuals, and a move contract for proof that this is the Riviera you see Pacino driving in the movie. This is an iconic classic that has had an icon behind the wheel. That makes for a terrific collectible that youll also love to drive. Call today!!!
