This sleek 1972 Chevrolet Corvette is a blackout Stingray that offers iconic looks and a strong small block...and it does it all for an obtainable price. Classic Corvette C3s always look great in black. In fact, this is from the years when GM didnt make them in this midnight finish, and so this is an upgrade later in life that you knew a car like the 72 really deserved. After all, the darkness makes for a nice backdrop for all the brightwork elements that these earlier Stingrays received. The Rally wheels, rocker panels, correct badging, optional luggage rack, two-piece rear bumper, and the sharply pointed front bumper all stand out quite nicely against the glossy black. The same dark theme continues inside. Just like the exterior, the blackout inside looks dark and supple. It also really gets you to notice all the sliver accenting and special upgrade, like the Corvette racing flags embroidered in the seatbacks. This was the final year for the removable rear window, and that goes particularly nice with the T-tops to really get the wind going through your hair. If you feel like upgrading the breezes, this is even a factory A/C car (it will need servicing to blow cold again.) You have all the right driver-oriented features, like the three-spoke sport steering wheel, power steering, and large speedo and tach. Plus, the full auxiliary gauge package is at eye-level. And the retro-style AM/FM radio even provided upgraded driving music. Even the engine bay has the look of darkness in the inner walls. And this really makes the well-presented V8 powerfully radiate with color. This is a proper 350 cubic-inch motor topped with a four-barrel carburetor. Plus, youll even spot good supporting components, like the nice belts and the Be Cool aluminum radiator with electric fans. Its a strong package that fires up with gusto as it makes a sweet rumble out of the dual exhaust. The V8 is paired with the numbers-matching TH400 three speed automatic transmission for a nice grand touring feeling. And we love the Stingray for being one of the few 1970s cars to give a fully independent suspension and four-wheel power disc brakes. The moment you try this coupe, youll instantly understand that this car has the solid feeing of a true drivers classic. So if youre ready to hit the road in this all-black Stingray tomorrow, you need to call today!
