This car is one of the finest street rods on the market today. Built by Mr. Harry Nicks as his personal car at his facility in Redlands, CA. Mr. Nicks is famous in the custom car and American/Foreign Classic car restoration business. His cars consistently win or place highly in the circuit of National Shows, including multiple wins at the Concurs de' Elegance in Pebble Beach, CA. To own one of his cars alone, is a value that will only grow in time as a collectable. This car started with an all steel body and modified by extending the doors and rear cowl to add six inches of interior room. Hand built steel dash rolls around through the doors and rear cowl for a continuous look. Wheel wells are smoothed and rolled pan welded into the mix. The grill and nose are custom fabricated for this car as well as the hood, head light mounts and windshield posts. The license plate opening is inset and 50's tail lights bezels are used. Paint is flawless, including the chassis components not chromed or polished.Interior is finished in Mercedes bamboo colored leather on custom built seats just for this car. The steering wheel is matching leather wrapped attached to a Sprint car racing steering assembly chromed and polished. The polished alloy pedal assemblies are CNC machined and again custom made for this car. The custom alloy dash hold Moon full instrumentation. This body is a one of a kind, there is not another like it!The chassis and running gear continue with pure engineering quality, a custom boxed frame appears like 32' Ford rails and is pinched to accommodate an in line body fit. A solid axle is used in front, but uses radius rods and a unique torsion bar assembly hidden in the frame rails for spring action. The rear axle is a 9" Ford unit built by Currie with posi-traction and 3:70 gearing and again, suspended by torsion bars and located by sway bar and radius rods. Transmission is Richmond 4 speed using a Clutch Master assembly contained by scatter shield bell housing.Engine is a custom blueprinted 350 Chevy, 4 bolt main, steel crank, 10:1 compression, hi-perf. cam, roller rockers, hyd. lifters, Performer Intake, Demon carb., Vertex magneto, custom alloy radiator using six blade fan, designed to run cool regardless of ambient temp. Headers are custom built from stainless steel and deliver a truly powerful note. The car is registered correctly in the State of California with a 1929 clear Title and currently registered. It was built at a cost of over $200,000 in parts and labor, took over 2 years to complete while Street Rodder Magazine did a step by step construction photo article on it during the build, finishing with a full center spread on completion, including an x-ray shot. The car is flawless in its delivery of power, ride, tractability and dependability, which is only attainable in a streetrod built by a professional. Be advised, this is a mans car. It is small, it is light, it rumbles, it pours power to the ground with a sound and rush that is thrilling while accelerating straight and true!. A one of a kind, "E" Ticket Ride and a guaranteed winner in any event entered!Mr. Nicks will personally service the vehicle after the sale and make any changes new owner may request over and above the purchase price of vehicle.
