Exceptional show condition Ford Thunderbird 1955 in black with black/white interior. Restored over a 10 year period in the U.S. to a concourse standard, then imported to the UK in 2013. It has an interesting history in that it was owned by an engineer employed by the Howard Hughes coporation, on his death his sister inherited it. It was stored from 1972 to 1999 and then restored to 2009.
Includes a history file with receipts and information about the car including the original bill of sale to the first owner in Los Angeles.
The underside of the car including the chassis is of the same condition as the exterior. A very original specification car including the 6v electrics. Approximately $45,000 was spent on the car during restoration. It has covered approximately 2000miles since then.
The car has optional features: power steering, servo assisted brakes, electric windows and electric seats
The hardtop is in very good condition as is the black canvas soft top.
It was selected for the Best Car in show at this years Goodwood Revival and attracted a lot of attention.
Although rarely driven I drove it 150 miles each way from my home to Goodwood and the car never missed a beat and was great fun.
This is a great investment opportunity. Could deliver to a UK port for shipping abroad.
