1972 Mercedes Benz 350 SLC Coupe. R107 Tunis Beige Metallic with black leather upholstery. Only 76,000 miles from new. The SLC is commonly referred to as an 'SL coupe', and this was the first time that Mercedes-Benz had based a coupe on an SL roadster platform rather than on a saloon, replacing the former saloon-based 280/300 SE coupé in Mercedes lineup. The SLC was replaced earlier than the SL, with the model run ending in 1981, with a much larger model, the 380 SEC and 500SEC based on the new S class. This SLC has been extremely well cared for over the years and its a real credit to its former keepers. This is shown in the cars history folder with a huge portfolio of old mot certificates, bills and invoices and members club membership confirming the very low mileage of just 76,000. The original handbook and service book are still present and the most recent service was less than 200 miles ago by a Mercedes main dealer, the majority of service invoices on file being Mercedes main dealer. The car itself is in very good throughout, the paintwork is unmarked and the brightwork showing no signs of pitting or dullness. The leather upholstery again very good with no undue wear and tear as are the carpets and headlining. The silky smooth 3.5 V8 engine has excellent oil pressure and is very strong mated to the smooth automatic gearbox. The car drives just as it should and the Mercedes build quality is evident. Now a rare sight on U.K roads the SLC model over recent years has become more popular and is now a desirable model in the classic Mercedes range. Absolutely any inspection is welcome.
