Hcc bring you this lovely mgb roadster finished in factory primrose yellow .Its in really great condition with a super paint finish overall as it stands but not perfect and the price reflects this. It has the potential to be to a higher standard with very little expenditure and general tidying . its last owner has been custodian to the car since 1984 and carried out much work in that time .we are offering the car for a short time as is for the advertised price only , strictly no offers but if it dosnt sell rest assured we will get on with it and market a top car at a much increased price .
bodywork::is really nice with very good panel fit overall and paint finish ,it had a big rebuild circa 2000 with some new panels and a repaint in its factory original colour and has been used very sparingly since and only in the dry ,of course it has a few tiny scratches chips and user marks upon close inspection like all cars but its a car that stands very well as is and will grace any driveway , drivers door has a few bubbles near the front but i think this is more paint reaction than corrosion the car had new doorskins in the rebuild , undersides of the doors are perfect , all shuts are lovely ....it retains its year correct recessed front grill which so many lose and has a spot and fog lamp mounted on the bumper , H4 headlamps have been added ,
Chrome work /glass : is all good driver quality all chrome has a good shine with the very minor marks and pitting associated with older chrome . The car has a nice "top tint" gradient windscreen fitted .
engine bay :: is very tidy and has been well looked after , it has the original engine block that was rebuilt by oselli to fast road spec with the carbs rebuilt and rejetted to suit all done at the same time as the body rebuild . the car has done a mere 9000 miles since, it was converted to run lead free ,Alloy Rocker cover fitted and has electronic ignition fitted , it also has a kenlowe fan fitted to the radiator with a thermo switch in the engine bay and a manual override on the centre console , factory brake servo is fitted always welcome on these ...(master cylinders are recent )
interior;;is tidy and could be improved easily , the standard seats have cloth replacement covers and would benefit from a set of year correct vinyl covers or leather depending upon the new owners taste , the centre console has been changed and has extra gauges and switches which dont necessarily look out of place or detract but of course are not correct.a battery isolator sits behind the drivers seat and there are additional courtesy lights under the dash to illuminate the footwells, lift the floor carpets and the floor metal is lovely with the factory paint still visible , smaller steering wheel fitted giving more legroom ,it has electric washers fitted ,
boot area:: has been finished with a correct fitting carpet set with wheel cover , all very tidy and the bootlid interior has excellent paint finish
hood:: the car has a quality mohair hood in black with decent windows all round ,
wheels tyres /underside :: wheels are painted wires all in nice condition , tyres are all good ,wheel spinners are ok but could be changed for new whilst improving the car if you like shiny , the underside is all rock solid , good floors , sills etc , rear wing to sills all arrow straight
summary :: this is a very nice 71 roadster , its not perfect but could be with very little expenditure ,ive been overly harsh with my faultfinding on this car and rest assured if youre after a 71 era roadster this is a must see ...its long term owner looked after the car well and spent well on upgrading and keeping it , The body work is extremely good , finished in striking primrose yellow it has the advantage of a matching numbers engine rebuilt by oselli with low miles since .it has the best part of a years mot .lots of old mots and fortunes in bills including the oselli rebuild , if it dosnt sell reasonably soon and for the advertised price we will withdraw the car from sale do the bits and market it at a much increased price , so strictly no offers if you dont want to pay this price find another ...we may be doing some bits along the way and will up the price accordingly .. Good original Bs are getting harder to source in the world of heritage shelled cars and the original ones are the ones to have ... call me (9am to 9pm please ) for more info or to view, overseas buyers always welcome and we help where we can with video walkrounds and phone descriptions, deposit will secure but non refundable in all circumstances , car is fully hpi clear on all counts with no colour change
